BASIC TOUR of Quebec City
3 Days & 2 Nights

Along the shores of the St. Lawrence River, Quebec City is one of the oldest European settlements in North America. The pride of French Canada, Quebec City has much to offer in culture as well as history. A local tour guide will make your trip seamless and carefree as you visit some of Quebec City’s historical sites, as well as some the city’s favourites. As a Unesco Heritage site, a tour of the picturesque Old Town is like walking through a living museum of cobblestone streets, museums and café’s.

The Musee du Fort is great way to begin an historical tour of Quebec City. A sound and light show will give a unique look into the military history of the city. A tour of the Citadelle, the largest British fortress built in North America will give your students the opportunity to see first hand an active military garrison. Discovery architecture, military engineering, and living conditions of the soldiers housed in the Martello Towers on the Plains of Abraham.

On a tour of Ste. Anne Basilica you will discover the rich history of devotion to Ste. Anne along with numerous art masterpieces, mosaics, stained-glass windows, stone and wood sculptures. Students will get the opportunity to create a piece of artwork at the Copper Museum where they will see incredible pieces of copper art. A stop by Montmorency Falls, just a few minutes from Quebec City, is one of the provinces most remarkable sites. A trip to the Huron Village will give a glimpse into the history, traditions, and lives of the Huron-Wendat Nation.

A trip to Quebec would not be complete without a stop at a traditional Cabane-a-sucre, or Sugar Shack where you will experience maple products created the old fashioned way, along with an all-you-can-eat sugar shack meal and entertainment. A cruise on the St. Lawrence River will show the beauty of Quebec City from a different vantage point. Get a front row seat to one of Quebec City’s greatest shows, with marine mammals, birds and plant life as well as an incredible view of historical buildings.

Lodging in one on Quebec City’s favorite hotels includes night security to give you that extra piece of mind. Experience French Canadian cuisine with two breakfasts and two dinners in well-known restaurants.

A trip to Quebec City will leave your students with great memories and an incredibly unique learning experience that will have them talking about it for years to come.
